Rent
Rent is often due in the first week of the month, and your rental agreement states the exact date. Add it as a monthly bill and mark it paid each month. The payment history becomes a simple record of rent paid, which helps when you prepare rent receipts for HRA.
Society maintenance
Housing societies usually collect maintenance monthly or quarterly, with a late fee set by the society. Add it with your society’s due date.
Property tax
Property tax is usually paid yearly or half-yearly, and some municipal corporations offer a rebate for paying early in the financial year. Check your corporation’s website for this year’s dates, then add them to Pay Alert.
School and college fees
Fees often come in terms or instalments. Add each instalment as its own bill with its own due date, so none is missed.
People you pay every month
Domestic help, a driver or a tuition teacher are payments too. Add them as monthly bills so payday is never forgotten.
Set it up in Pay Alert
- Tap + and give the bill a short name, for example “House rent”.
- Enter the amount and the due date.
- For monthly payments, turn on Recurring monthly. For quarterly or yearly payments, leave it off and add each due date.
- In Settings → Notifications, choose your Reminder time and the Scheduled alerts you want: 5, 3 or 1 day before, on the due date and every day once overdue.
- When you pay, tap Mark as Paid. It moves to your payment history, grouped by month.

Pay Alert does not connect to these providers, read your SMS or make payments. You add the name, amount and due date yourself, and reminders are scheduled on your iPhone.
Questions
Can Pay Alert send rent to my landlord?
No. Pay Alert reminds you. Pay rent the way you normally do, then mark it as paid.
How do I track quarterly maintenance?
Add it with repeat turned off, then add the next quarter’s due date after you pay. Automatic repeat is monthly.
Can I export my rent payment history?
Yes. Settings → Export Data creates a CSV file of your dues and payment history.
